Digital marketing is an umbrella term for all online efforts a marketer makes to market his product. Marketers use digital platforms like social media, email, or search engines (via SEO) to connect with both their current and prospective customers.
The emergence of digital marketing is parallel to the increasing use of the internet. People and businesses spend a lot more time online than they did a few years ago.
