1 ) Using Twitter on Your Cell Phone

O.K you are driving down the highway and you see a funny billboard or other roadside sign that you know will make your Twitter

friends roll with laughter.

Or maybe you are at a conference where you just heard one of the most profound quotes you have ever heard and you want to

Twitter it.

Oh wait; you don’t have your laptop. But you do have your cell phone.

If only there was a way to tweet these and other things without using your computer. Well, guess what, you can.

Your cell phone can be a powerful Twitter tool. There are many ways you can use it to benefit yourself and your followers as

well. With your cell phone you can continue to contact your friends and followers and they can contact you by tweeting, as

well. Your cell phone is a major player on the information highway and with Twitter added it becomes a super networking wonder.

There are many tools you can use to send your twitter Tweets from your cell phone. Depending on the type of phone you have, you

can use your mobile phone in a number of ways. Tools like Jott, Hahlo, Mobile Twitter, Thin Cloud Twitter, Twitter to

Go, Twitter SMS, Twitter IM, and Twoble are all available for various cell phones and plans to help you tweet tweet as much as

you want.

Here are just two of the many cool ways to use your own cell phone and be able to harness the power of networking on the net

through Twitter:

– If your phone has a mobile browser, you can go to www.m.twitter.com and

you should be good to go. This may not the best option, but it is definitely an option and for sure it works. This is a simple

looking tool allows you to view Twitter messages on your cell phone and lets you to tweet back and tell people all about  what

you are doing.

Flurry is another mobile mail client/service. You can download the Flurry client software down to your phone just seconds after

you sign-up. Flurry, started out as a mobile service that would let you check e-mail on your cell phone. Recently Flurry added

a feature that allows you to also add RSS feeds and read them on your mobile phone.

In case you were unaware and didn’t know, you can set up RSS for all your favorite Twitter users. All you are required to do is

add RSS feeds generated by the Twitter accounts of your friends. The best part – you don’t have to pay for anything – it’s

free. If you want to send your own messages from your cell phone letting people know what you’re doing, you can just use the

SMS (texting) feature on your phone.

Your cell phone has many, many capabilities and so does Twitter itself. By using the two together you now have another cool way

to utilize the power of social media.

A WARNING:  You DO NOT want to be driving and sending tweets at the same time but you can always pull over on the side of the

road and tweet as many of your ideas, thoughts, or updates as you want.

2 ) Setting Up a Twitter Feed on Your Blog

Twitter does seem to be a major “buzz word” lately, and you know what?

It should be – why? Because Twitter is a great way to speak to your audience as well as a way to gain a whole new audience. You

can use your blog to harness the power of Twitter to get more traffic, sales, and valued relationships.

You probably already know that correctly optimized blogs are great for

bringing in traffic and generating sales. That is the main reason why you need to hook up with Twitter. Remember, Twitter is

not a full fledge blog, instead it is a micro-blogging tool that allows you to instantly let people know where you are and

exactly what it is that you are doing.

You can easily set up your blog with a simple feed that will help you optimize and

create the results you want to get from both your blog and Twitter.

Considering the many ways that you can feed your blog to Twitter, you can

talk to people all over the world in a way that you never could before.

As an example there is a simple little tool called Twitter Feed that you can set up on your blog. This tool will integrate

Twitter and your blog allowing you to create an

nice automated tool that can give your blog a lot more “legs” and bring in traffic.

All this can be done without any extra steps needed by you once the initial installation is complete.

The good thing is that setting up your Twitter Feed is not a long or even hard process. You can literally do it in less than 5

minutes. Here are the simple steps to getting you started.

• If you do not have a Twitter account, you need to set one up. This will

allow you to broadcast your blog RSS feed.

• Once your Twitter account has been set up , go to the Twitter Feed site and

login using an OpenID.

• Once your Twitter Feed account is all set up you can integrate your blog with

your twitter profile by simply adding your blog’s RSS feed. And remember, you can do this set up for as many blogs as you like.

• You should be sure to set up the time intervals of posting in a way so that it doesn’t post too many posts at one time – this

will look like spam and may get you banned from Twitter for spamming.

• The beauty of this is that once you are done whenever you post to the blogs you have in your Twitter Feed, the URL and post

announcement will automatically go out to all your Twitter followers.

Twitter Feed is a great tool; DO NOT abuse it or your followers. Hopefully,

readers and followers want to read your content and using Twitter Feed will

help you get your stuff it out there. Just be sure to “feed it” correctly in a good way.
